When branding an event creating a poster sets the tone for  how the rest of the branding will go. Here are a few mock-ups of posters that were created. We ended up picking the one on the very right for the reason that Magic Johnson’s face being the most recognizable.

For our apparel, we wanted something special with the event logo. Variations were created of illustrative logos and logos with typographic solutions.


 
 

We wanted our scholars to make the final decision between two apparel designs. They were pretty close in terms of the number of votes, but the scholars ended up picking the one on the right.

When it came to gathering photographers, I decided to ask a local photo studio to post a graphic on Instagram story. I was able to gather 25 photographers. Once they contacted me through my email, I sent them a prepared slide deck.

In total 1,100 people came to the event, and we were able to get 1.6 million dollars in donations in one night.
